An introduction to this tool is covered in the video for Example 3: Small Landowner Inventory

- Add objects to the placement list by clicking their thumbnail image
- [Optional] Click an object in the list to select it, then click Preview Object to view and/or scale the selected object.
- For each object, click the object's name in the list to select it, then set the Trees Per Acre and Scale Variance sliders.*
- Adjust the Distribution for all selected objects can be adjusted in Stand Tools before previewing position.
- [Optional] Determine the placement area using the Polygon Panel and the Inside/Outside controls.
- Click Preview Positions, make adjustments, then preview again.
- Click Place Objects
For added convenience, you can use the Save and Load buttons to store and re-use lists of commonly used plants and objects.
*Scale Variance allows you to add some random variation to the size of the objects. Leaving scale variance at 1.0 will place all objects at the size that they were modeled. A scale variance of 2.0 will cause some objects to be double the normal size and some objects to be half the normal size. For a moderate level of variation, 1.3 is a safe option.
